Ingredients

  • 14 oz quartered artichoke hearts
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 8 oz bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, for frying
  • 8 oz marinara pasta sauce, for dipping

Directions

  • Drain and rinse the artichokes, then chill in the refrigerator for approximately 10 minutes. Mix the egg and the milk, beating until combined. In a separate bowl, pour in the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip artichokes into egg mixture, soaking completely and allowing excess to drip off, then dip in the breadcrumbs. Continue until all artichokes have been covered.
  • In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil. Cook artichokes for approximately 2 minutes, then flip and repeat until lightly browned. Top with cheese and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
