Grilled New York Strip Steak & Asparagus

Grilled New York Strip Steak Ingredients (4 Servings)

  • 4 New York strip steaks
  • ½ cup Colavita extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. Colavita red wine vinegar
  • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup steak seasoning
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • sea salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Asparagus Ingredients (4 Servings)

  • 1 lb. fresh asparagus
  • 2 tbsp. Colavita extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste


In a large bowl, mix the Colavita extra virgin olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, steak seasoning, Colavita red wine vinegar, basil, and Italian seasoning.

Pour the ingredients into a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag, add the four steaks, squeeze out the air from the bag, and seal.

Gently shake the bag to coat all four of the steaks evenly.

Place the bag on a large plate and let the steaks marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Once the meat has marinated…

Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat.

Trim the ends from the asparagus by snapping them off or cutting them off with a knife.

Place the trimmed asparagus into a large gallon-sized resealable plastic bag.

Add the olive oil, salt, and pepper, and toss until the asparagus is lightly and evenly coated.

Set aside.

Lightly oil the grill grate.

Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly charred. Flip the steaks over and continue to grill 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare, 5 to 7 minutes for medium or 8 to 10 minutes for medium-well (150 degrees F).

Set aside.

Place the asparagus directly onto the grill, perpendicular to the grill grates, so they don’t fall through.

Grill over high heat, with the lid closed, for 5 minutes.

Flip the asparagus and grill for an additional 5 minutes.

Plate the steaks and asparagus and serve hot.
