Mario’s Italian chili is hearty, with an Italian twist on standard chili. It contains traditional Italian seasonings, pepperoni, and just the right amount of spice.

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean Ground Round
- 1/2 cup White Onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup Green Peppers, chopped
- 1/2 cup Celery Stalks, chopped
- 1 Garlic Clove, minced
- 2 cans Red Kidney Beans (19 oz)
- 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz)
- 2 oz Pepperoni, sliced
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Fine Sicilian Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
Directions
- Brown ground round in a large frying pan, then drain liquid from the pan.
- Add onion, green pepper and garlic, cook until soft.
- In a 5-quart saucepan, combine remaining ingredients, mixing well, and stir in beef and vegetables.
- Simmer for about 30 minutes.
- If too thick, add water until desired consistency is achieved.
