Mario’s classic San Marzano pizza recipe is made with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil. Add your favorite toppings for extra texture and spice!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Pizza Dough
  • 1 can San Marzano Tomatoes (28 oz), hand crushed
  • 4 oz Mozzarella Cheese, sliced
  • 5-6 leaves Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
  • Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400˚F.
  • Roll out pizza dough to desired size and thickness, then transfer to a pizza pan, stone or screen.
  • Season the San Marzano tomatoes with salt and pepper, then spread evenly over the dough.
  • Evenly distribute mozzarella and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until pizza is cooked as desired.
