Prep Time 25 Min | Cook Time 20 Min | Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp fine sea salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, cut
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 6 oz marinated artichoke hearts
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, julienne cut
- 2 slices ham, julienne cut
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
Directions
- Add flour and 1/2 tsp salt to a mixing bowl. Mix together and create a well in the center of the mixture, then pour water into the well. Add the sugar and yeast to the water and mix thoroughly.
- Gradually mix flour into the water in small increments. As the dough begins to form, take it out of the bowl and continue to work it by hand on a floured surface. If the dough is too sticky, add flour until the dough no longer sticks to the kneading surface.
- Knead the dough thoroughly until it becomes smooth, then place a small amount of olive oil on the bottom of a bowl and place in the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and leave it out for about 15-20 minutes until the dough has risen.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. Knead the dough ball briefly on a lightly floured surface, then press the dough into an oiled 12-inch pizza pan. Spread tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges. Spread an even layer of mozzarella cheese over the tomatoes, then add artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, and ham. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese begins to bubble.
- Enjoy!
