Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings

Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings Ingredients: (8 Servings)

  • 4 lbs. chicken wings, cut into drums and flats
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Pinch of cracked pepper

Buffalo Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s Original Red-Hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp. honey

Adjust the oven rack to upper-middle position and preheat the oven to 450°F.

Line a large baking pan with aluminum foil and set a heat-proof wire rack inside.

Pat dry the chicken wings liberally with paper towels, be sure to squeeze out as much moisture from the chicken wings as you can.

Transfer the chicken wings to a large bowl.

In a small bowl, combine the baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, whisking well to combine all the ingredients evenly.

Toss the wings in the baking powder mixture until they are evenly coated.

Arrange the wings on the wire rack, leaving about 1-inch of space between each piece of chicken.

Bake the chicken wings for about 30 minutes.

Then flip the chicken wings and continue to cook them until they are crisp and golden brown, about 20 minutes.

In the meantime…

Whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter and honey.

Finally, when the chicken wings are done in the oven, toss them in the sauce you’ve prepared until they are evenly coated.

Serve the chicken wings immediately with blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing, and celery sticks or carrot sticks.
