Prep Time 10 Min | Cook Time 20 Min | Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 12 oz chopped onions
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Directions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chuck, breaking it up as it cooks, then season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain away the fat.
  • Stir in the garlic paste, onions, and Worcestershire sauce, cooking for another minute. Then add the orzo and beef broth and stir to combine. Simmer while covered for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the mozzarella, then top with provolone slices. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt for about 2 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
  • Enjoy!
