Prep Time 10 Min | Cook Time 35 Min | Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 large pizza dough ball
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup marinated portobello mushrooms
- 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, drained
- 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup fried long hot peppers
- 1/2 cup sautéed onions
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a medium-sized frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then add the peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Mix the ingredients and cook for an additional minute. Set aside to cool.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough until it is approximately 8×14 inches. In the center of the dough, evenly spread the cheese, then layer the steak mixture and remaining cheese on top. Carefully fold the long side of the dough to the center, then fold the opposite side so the edges overlap. Pinch the dough to seal the edges and cut 3-inch shallow slits in the top.
- Place the dough on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Slice and serve with marinara sauce.
- Enjoy!
