Ingredients
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb pork sausage patties
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 sesame hamburger buns
Directions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Italian pork sausage patties to the pan and sauté for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through. You will need 4 patties in total.
- After cooking, add the cheese slices on top of the burgers and place a lid on top of the skillet, allowing the cheese to melt. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in another large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the peppers and onions, then season with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Sauté the pepper and onion mixture for about 7-8 minutes, until crispy. Place the burger patties onto the buns and top with the peppers and onions.
