Prep Time 15 Min | Cook Time 10 Min | Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 sirloin burger patties
- 12 oz sautéed onions
- 1 tbsp jalapeño peppers, diced
- 2 tbsp sliced jalapeño peppers
- 4 oz leafy green lettuce
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 oz sliced pimientos, drained
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Start by preparing the pimento cheese spread. In a medium bowl, combine the diced jalapeño, cheese, pimientos, and sour cream. Mix until combined.
- Set the mixture aside. Cook the burger patties on the grill or skillet until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to verify the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F.
- To assemble the burgers, spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then place a lettuce leaf on top. Add a cooked burger patty and spoon a generous amount of pimento cheese spread over the patty. Top with onions and jalapeño slices, then add the top bun. Serve warm.
- Enjoy!
