Ingredients
- 3/4 lb pizza dough ball
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 lb ricotta cheese
- 3 tbsp pecorino romano
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out pizza dough to desired size and thickness, then transfer it to a pizza pan, stone, or screen.
- For the base of the pizza, combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic. Spread evenly on top of the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza. Place about 6 small scoops of ricotta cheese evenly around the pizza. Sprinkle with basil.
- Cook for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with romano cheese if desired, and serve.
