Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb pizza dough ball
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb ricotta cheese
  • 3 tbsp pecorino romano
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out pizza dough to desired size and thickness, then transfer it to a pizza pan, stone, or screen.
  • For the base of the pizza, combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic. Spread evenly on top of the pizza dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza. Place about 6 small scoops of ricotta cheese evenly around the pizza. Sprinkle with basil.
  • Cook for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with romano cheese if desired, and serve.
