Roasted BBQ Pork Ribs

Roasted BBQ Pork Ribs Ingredients (4 Servings)

  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1 tbsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp. allspice
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 2 cups BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • sea salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Remove the thin membrane on the underside of the 2 racks of ribs, pulling with a paper towel is the easiest.

Cutting the racks into 2 even pieces for easier handling.

Place the nutmeg, allspice, ground ginger, brown sugar, thyme, paprika, sea salt, and fresh ground black pepper in a bowl and mix thoroughly.

Coat the ribs with the rub, try really rubbing it into the ribs with your hands.

Cover the ribs with plastic wrap and put them in the fridge for at least a couple hours to marinate.

Set the oven to 300F.

Get 4 large pieces of tin foil and wrap each rack of seasoned ribs and seal them into 4 packages.

Place the 4 racks of ribs on a baking tray and set them on the middle rack of the oven.

Bake for around 2 hours and 15 minutes. The foil will retain the ribs’ moisture as they cook.

Remove the ribs from the oven, and from the foil.

Place the ribs on a rack or a lined tray and coat the top of them with the BBQ sauce.

Set the oven on “BROIL” and place the ribs back into the oven for around 3-5 minutes.

Remove the ribs from the oven, turn them over and coat them with BBQ sauce.

Place the ribs back in the oven for another 3 minutes.

Repeat these last 2 steps 2 times to create a nice glaze.

Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.

Buon Appetito!
