Carpineto Dogajolo Rosso – Toscana
Deep red color with violet reflections. Earthy fragrances complete the sweet tropical notes of cherry and black fruits. Medium-bodied notes of plum and chocolate truffle. Dry and full of character with mild acidity. It pairs well with beef and poultry dishes.
This Carpineto Red Tuscan Rosso comes from the Carpineto’s vineyards located in Central Tuscany. This product is a young “Super-Tuscan” and offers a distinct taste created by wood aging. This blend is 80% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The optimal serving temperature ranges from 59-61F for the first year, then 64-68F thereafter.

Vinification: | The grape varieties are vinified separately, since they ripen at different times. Toward the end of fermentation they are blended and placed in small wooden casks where they slowly complete alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. |
