Ingredients
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 16 oz Giusto Sapore potato gnocchi
- 28 oz whole peeled tomatoes, drained and crushed
- 2 oz grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tsp fresh basil
- 2 tsp fine sea salt
- 5 oz light cream
Directions
- Prepare the gnocchi according to the directions on the package. In a large pan, sauté garlic in olive oil until it becomes soft, then add tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the mixture for about 20 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add tomato juice from the can. After simmering, add cream and stir continuously, then let simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked gnocchi, tossing until it is well coated. Top with cheese and serve warm.
