Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage, removed from casings
- 1 package potato gnocchi
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Pecorino Romano
- 4 oz sharp provolone, shredded
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook gnocchi according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into bite-sized pieces.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Pecorino Romano and provolone until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked gnocchi and toss to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper and garnish with parsley before serving.
