These sweet and spicy franks are an easy and tasty way to entertain guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Passata tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 lb natural casing franks

Directions

  • Gather all the ingredients and combine the ketchup, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, soy sauce, and mustard in a slow cooker. Once added, stir to meld flavors together.
  • Cook for 1 hour on high, covered.
  • Cut the franks in half (or as you prefer), then stir, coating evenly.
  • Cook for 1 to 2 hours on high, or until the franks are steaming.
  • Before enjoying the sweet and spicy franks, set the slow cooker on low heat to keep the franks warm before serving.
