Breakfast Burger (4 Servings)
- 4 steak burger patties
- 2 cups shredded hash browns
- 10 tsp. unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 8 bacon slices, cooked
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 American cheese slices
- Sea salt, to taste
- Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Preheat the grill to high heat.
Sprinkle the steak burgers with salt and pepper on both sides.
Grill the steak burgers for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until the meat is no longer pink in the center or the internal temperature registers 160F.
Remove the burgers from the grill and allow to rest.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and then add 6 teaspoons of the unsalted butter.
Once the butter has melted, divide the hash browns into 4 equal parts in the shape of patties and place them on the skillet. Cook the hash brown patties until browned, about 4 minutes.
Flip the hash browns and cook the other side for another 4 minutes.
Cover the hash browns and set them aside.
Heat another large, non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and then add the remaining 2 teaspoons of butter.
Once the butter has melted, crack the 4 eggs into the skillet.
Cook the eggs until the whites are opaque and the yolks are still runny.
If needed, spoon butter from the skillet on top of the egg whites to help finish cooking.
Cover the sunny side up eggs and set them aside.
Toast the hamburger buns if desired.
To assemble the breakfast burger, place the bottom half of the bun on a plate and place the steak burger and a slice of American cheese on top.
Then add 2 strips of bacon and the hash brown patty.
Lastly, slide one easy over egg on top and cap it with the top half of the bun.
Repeat with the remaining 3 burgers.
